Gorillaz avslører Plastic Beach

Ventetiden er over, ny Gorillaz single 26. januar, nytt album 8.mars!

Gorillaz sitt første studioalbum på 5 år har endelig fått navn og dato! Plastic Beach er navnet og slippes i Norge mandag 8. mars. Første single "Stylo" (med Mos Def) slippes offisielt mandag 26. januar, men du kan allerede høre den på bandets hjemmeside.

Navnet Plastic Beach er ikke ubegrunnet, her er en liten oppsummering på hva bassist Murdoc og resten av bandet har bedrevet siden sist:

"The band have taken up residence, recording on a secret floating island deep in the South Pacific, a Plastic Beach HQ, made up of the detritus, debris and washed up remnants of humanity. This Plastic Beach is the furthest point from any landmass on Earth; the most deserted spot on the planet."

Albumet er stjernespekket med gjestebidrag, og skilter blant annet med navn som Paul Simonon (The Clash), De La Soul, Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Barry Gibb, Mark E. Smith, Gruff Rhys, Mos Def og Mick Jones.
