LCD Soundsystem består av James Murphy, med-grunnlegger av det anerkjente plateselskapet DFA Records.

Med sin Dance og Punk hybrid, har LCD Soundsystem høstet gode kritikker, Grammy nominasjoner, og fått muligheten til å bidra med soundtracks på en rekke anerkjente videospill som Grand Theft Auto, FIFA 6 og Burnout Revenge.

I 2006 slapp LCD Soundsystem den 45 lange låta 45:33 eksklusivt på Nike Music Store på iTunes. Låten ble i 2007 sluppet som Vinyl og CD i 2007.

45:33 Remixes er en samling remixer fra denne utgivelsen, og inneholder blant annet remix fra den internasjonalt anerkjente produsenten Prins Thomas (Thomas Moen Hermansen) fra Norge, som kanskje er best kjent fra sitt samarbeid med Hans-Peter Lindstrøm i prosjektet Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas.
